Best Friends Story

Long Ago in a village lived two friends Ram and Sundar. Raman was from a wealthy family but Sundar was from a poor family.

One day, Sundar got very ill, When Raman came to know about he went to Sundar's house to meet him. He didn't stay there for long, but instead, he just took some money out of his pocket and gave it to his friend and left.

Sundar felt very bad but didn't said anything to him. With time Sundar got well and worked hard to earn money so that he could return Raman's money. Once Sundar earned enough money. He went to Raman to return his money. Still, Sundar couldn't forget how rude was Raman's behavior toward him. Just after some time, Raman got ill and the doctor suggested him bed rest.

As soon as Sundar got News of Raman's illness, he left all his work as it is and went to meet Raman and stayed by his side until Raman got all well. After this, one day Raman went to meet Sundar and said, "My friend, I feel very guilty. When you fell ill I gave you money and you returned it.

But when I got ill, you stayed by my side whole time and took care of me, How am I ever going to be able to return this favor of yours..?" Sundar hugged him and replied, "I just wanted you to realize that money is not everything and today I am very happy that you understand that..'

பணம் மட்டும் போதுமா?

நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு முன்பு, ஒரு கிராமத்தில் ராமன் மற்றும் சுந்தர் என்ற இரண்டு நண்பர்கள் வாழ்ந்து வந்தனர். ராமன் பணக்கார குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர், ஆனால் சுந்தரோ ஏழை குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்.

சுந்தருக்கு ராமன் நோய்வாய்ப்பட்டிருப்பது பற்றிய செய்தி வந்தவுடன், அவருடைய அனைத்து வேலைகளையும் விட்டுவிட்டு ராமனை சந்திக்க சென்றார், அங்கு ராமனின் உடல்நிலை சரியாகும் வரை அங்கேயே தங்கினான்.

சுந்தர் அவரை கட்டிப்பிடித்து, "பணம் தான் எல்லாம்' என்ற உன்னுடைய எண்ணத்தை மாற்ற விரும்பினேன், இன்று நீ "பணம் மட்டுமே வாழ்க்கை அல்ல' என்பதை புரிந்து கொண்டாய் என்று நினைக்கும் போது எனக்கு மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக உள்ளது, என்று சுந்தர் பதிலளித்தான்.

The Lovely Girl With Two Guava

A Father and his Daughter were playing in the park. His young daughter spotted a guava vendor. She asked her father to buy her a guava. Father didn't bring much money with him, but it was enough to purchase two guava. So, he bought two guava and gave his daughter.

His daughter held one guava each in her two hands. Then a father asked her if she can share one guava with him. Upon hearing this, his daughter quickly took a bite from one guava. And before her father could speak, she also took a bite from the second guava.

Father wondered that his daughter behaved in such a greedy way and the smile was disappeared from his face.

And suddenly his daughter with an guava in her one hand said, "Father have this one, this one is much juiciest and sweeter". Her father was speechless. He felt bad about reaching to the judgement so quickly about a small child. But, his smile came back now knowing why his daughter quickly took a bite from each guava.

Moral: Don't Judge anything too quickly.

மகள் பேராசையுடன் நடந்து கொண்டாளா?

பூங்காவில் ஒரு தந்தையும் மகளும் விளையாடிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். மகள் ஒரு கொய்யா விற்பனையாளரை கண்டு தனக்கு கொய்யாப்பழம் வேண்டும் என தன் தந்தையிடம் கேட்டாள். தந்தையிடம் அதிகமாக பணம் இல்லை, இரண்டு கொய்யாப்பழத்தை வாங்குவதற்கு போதுமான பணம் அவரிடம் இருந்தது. எனவே, அவர் இரண்டு கொய்யாப்பழத்தை மட்டும் வாங்கி தனது மகளிடம் கொடுத்தார்.

அவரது மகள் தன் இரண்டு கைகளிலும் ஒவ்வொரு கொய்யாப்பழத்தை வைத்திருந்தார். என்னுடன் ஒரு கொய்யாப்பழத்தை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள முடியுமா? என்று தந்தை மகளிடம் கேட்டார். இதைக் கேட்டதும், அவருடைய மகள் விரைவாக ஒரு கொய்யாப்பழத்தை கடித்தாள். மீண்டும் அவளுடைய தந்தை அவளிடம் கேட்பதற்கு முன்பே, இரண்டாவது கொய்யாப்பழத்தையும் கடித்து விட்டாள்.

அவருடைய மகள் அத்தகைய பேராசையுடன் நடந்துக் கொண்டதை நினைத்து தந்தை மிகவும் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தார், முகத்தில் இருந்த புன்னகையும் மறைந்து விட்டது.

திடீரென்று அவரது மகள் தன் கையில் இருந்த கொய்யாவை தந்தையிடம் கொடுத்து, "தந்தையே இதுதான் மிகவும் சுவையாகவும், இனிப்பாகவும் இருக்கிறது" என்றாள். அவளது தந்தை பேச முடியாமல் திகைத்து நின்றார். சிறிய குழந்தையைப் பற்றி தவறாக நினைத்ததை நினைத்து மிகவும் வருத்தினார். பழத்தை பகிர்ந்துக் கொள்ளலாமா என்று கேட்டவுடன் மகள் ஏன் விரைவாக பழத்தை கடித்தாள் என்று தற்போது அவருக்கு புரிந்து விட்டது. அவருடைய முகத்தில் புன்னகையும் திரும்ப வந்துவிட்டது.

நீதி : எந்த ஒரு செயலையும் விரைவாக தீர்மானிக்க வேண்டாம்.

What is Greed?

A student asked his teacher, "What is Greed?". The teacher said, "In order to answer your question, go through the chocolate factory next to our school and pick one chocolate you like the most. But there is a rule. As you pass through the factory, you can not turn back. You must pick the chocolate as you go forward only".

The student went to the chocolate factory. As he walked through, He saw a big chocolate he instantly liked it but he wondered that he may find much bigger one further. So, he walked further, then he saw another chocolate. But again, he thought the same. When he started to reach near the end of the factory, he couldn't see any chocolates as big as the one he didn't pick earlier and started to regret his decision of letting it go.

He went back to the teacher with an empty hand and gave an explanation of what he did.

The teacher told him, "You got a big chocolate, but you thought that you need bigger than that, and again you found a big chocolate, again thought the same. This was called as greedy".

பேராசை என்றால் என்ன?

மாணவன் ஒருவன் தன்னுடைய ஆசிரியரிடம் பேராசை என்றால் என்னவென்று கேட்டான். உடனே ஆசிரியர் அவன் கேள்விக்கு பதிலளிக்க, நம்முடைய பள்ளிக்கு அருகில் உள்ள மிட்டாய் தொழிற்சாலைக்குச் செல், அங்கு உனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்த ஒரு மிட்டாய் ஒன்றை எடுத்துக் கொள். ஆனால் ஒரு விதி இருக்கிறது. நீ தொழிற்சாலை வழியாக செல்லும்போது, செல்லும் வழியிலே நீ திரும்பி வரக்கூடாது. நீ முன்னோக்கி செல்லும் போது மட்டுமே மிட்டாய் எடுத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றார் ஆசிரியர்.

The Right Person

Once there was a wise king. He had two sons. He appointed eminent scholars to teach them all arts. After a few years, the King fell ill badly. So, he wanted to select his next King for his Kingdom. He wanted to test his son's abilities.

He called both of them and gave a room to each of them. He said, "You must fill this room completely with anything. It can be anything! But no place should be empty and you should not seek the advice from anyone!"

The next day the king visited the elder's son room. The room was completely filled with hay. The king sighed on the foolishness of the elder son.

Then he went to the younger son's room. But it was closed. The King knocked at the door of the room. The second son asked his father to get in and closed the door again. There was darkness everywhere and the King shouted at his second son angrily.

But the second son lighted a candle and said, I have filled this room with light!. Now the King felt very happy and hugged his son proudly. He understood that the younger son would be the right person to rule the Kingdom after him.

ராஜ்யத்தை ஆட்சி செய்ய சரியான நபர் யார்?

ஒரு முறை ஒரு விவேகமுள்ள ராஜா இருந்தார். அவருக்கு இரண்டு மகன்கள் இருந்தனர். அவர்களுக்கு எல்லா கலைகளையும் கற்றுக் கொடுப்பதற்கு மேம்பட்ட அறிஞர்களை நியமித்தார்.

ஒரு சில ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு, ராஜா மிகவும் மோசமாக நோய்வாய்ப்பட்டார். ஆகவே, அவர் ராஜாவை அவருடைய ராஜ்யத்திற்காக தேர்ந்தெடுக்க விரும்பினார். அவர் தனது மகன்களின் திறமையை சோதிக்க விரும்பினார்.

பின்னர் அவர் இளைய மகனின் அறைக்குச் சென்றார். ஆனால் அது மூடப்பட்டிருந்தது. ராஜா அந்த அறையின் கதவை தட்டினார். இரண்டாவது மகன் தனது தந்தையை உள்ளே வரும்படி கேட்டுக் கொண்டான் மற்றும் கதவை மீண்டும் மூடினான். எல்லா இடங்களிலும் இருளாக இருந்தது மற்றும் ராஜா தனது இரண்டாவது மகனிடம் கோபமாக கத்தினார்.

ஆனால் இரண்டாவது மகன் ஒரு மெழுகுவர்த்தியை ஒளிரச்செய்து, "நான் இந்த அறையை ஒளியினால் நிரப்பினேன்!" என்று கூறினான். இப்போது ராஜா மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக உணர்ந்து, மகனை பெருமையுடன் கட்டித்தழுவினார். இளைய மகன் தான் தனக்கு பிறகு ராஜ்யத்தை ஆட்சி செய்ய சரியான நபர் என்று அவர் புரிந்து கொண்டார்.

Two Pots of Water

A poor farmer lived in a village. He was regularly taking water from the river everyday for his home needs. He had two pots to bring water. He tied the pots on the two ends of a long pole and he carried the pole on his shoulder.

One of the two pots had a small hole. So when he come home every day, the deficient pot contains only half of water in it. The pot without deficient was proud of its ability and it always made fun about the inability of the deficient pot.

Two years went by like this. The deficient pot not able to tolerate the teasing and said to its Master that, "Sir! I feel very worried about my fault. Because of my fault, all water got wasted on the way itself and your workload also increases".

The farmer said, "Oh Pot! Did you notice the beautiful flowers in your side on the way we come? I knew earlier that water is leaking from your side. That is why I planted the seeds of flowers along the way. They are grown today, because you shed water everyday to them and they gave me beautiful flowers. I decorated the house with them. I earn money by selling the remaining flowers". On hearing it, the deficient pot had stopped to feel bad about itself.

Moral: Learn to change your defect into success.

குறைகளை வெற்றியாக மாற்றிய விவசாயி

ஒரு கிராமத்தில் ஏழை விவசாயி ஒருவன் வாழ்ந்து வந்தான். அவன் தன் வீட்டுத் தேவைக்காக தினமும் ஆற்றிலிருந்து தண்ணீர் எடுத்து வருவதை வழக்கமாகக் கொண்டிருந்தான். தண்ணீரை எடுத்து வர அவன் இரண்டு பானைகளை வைத்திருந்தான். அந்தப் பானைகளை ஒரு நீளமான கழியின் இரண்டு முனைகளிலும் தொங்க விட்டு, கழியைத் தோளில் சுமந்து செல்வான்.

இரண்டு பானைகளுள், ஒரு பானையில் சிறிய ஓட்டை ஒன்று இருந்தது. அதனால் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் வீட்டிற்கு வரும் பொழுது, குறையுள்ள பானையில் பாதியளவு நீரே இருக்கும். குறையில்லாத பானைக்குத் தன் திறனை நினைத்து பெருமை. குறையுள்ள பானையைப் பார்த்து எப்பொழுதும் அதன் குறையைக் கேலி செய்து கொண்டே இருக்கும்.

இப்படியே இரண்டு வருடங்கள் கழிந்துவிட்டன. கேலியை பொறுக்க முடியாத பானை அதன் எஜமானனைப் பார்த்து, "ஐயா! என் குறையை நினைத்து நான் மிகவும் கேவலமாக உணர்கிறேன். உங்களுக்கும் தினமும் என் குறையால், வரும் வழியெல்லாம் தண்ணீர் சிந்தி, உங்களுடைய வேலைப் பளுவை மிகவும் அதிகரிக்கின்றேன்", என்றது.

அதற்கு விவசாயி, "பானையே! நாம் வரும் பாதையில், உன் பக்கம் இருக்கும் அழகான பூச்செடிகள் வரிசையைக் கவனித்தாயா? உன்னிடமிருந்து தண்ணீர் சிந்துவது எனக்கு முன்பே தெரியும். அதனால்தான் வழி நெடுக பூச்செடி விதைகளை விதைத்து வைத்தேன். நீ தினமும் சிந்திய தண்ணீரில் அவை இன்று பெரிதாக வளர்ந்து எனக்கு தினமும் அழகான பூக்களை அளிக்கின்றன. அவற்றை வைத்து நான் வீட்டை அலங்கரிக்கிறேன். மீதமுள்ள பூக்களை விற்றுப் பணம் சம்பாதிக்கிறேன்", என்றான். இதைக் கேட்ட பானை தன்னை பற்றி கேவலமாக உணர்வதை நிறுத்தி விட்டது.

நீதி : குறைகளை வெற்றியாக மாற்ற கற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Unhelpful Friends

A rabbit lived in the forest. He had many friends. He was proud of his friends. One day rabbit heard the loud barking of wild dogs. He was very scared. He decided to ask for help. He quickly went to his friend deer. He said, "Dear friend, some wild dogs are chasing me. Can you chase them away with your sharp antlers?'

The deer said, "That is right, I can. But now I am busy. Why don't you ask bear for help?" Rabbit ran to the bear. "My dear friend, you are very strong. Please help me. Some wild dogs are after me. Please chase them away", he requested to the bear.

The bear replied, "I am sorry. I am hungry and tired. Please ask the monkey for help". Poor rabbit went to the monkey, the elephant, the goat and all his other friends felt sad that nobody was ready to help him.

He understood that he had to think of a way out by himself. He hid under a bush. He lay very still. The wild dogs did not find the rabbit. They went chasing other animals. Rabbit learnt that he had to learn to survive by himself, not depending on his unhelpful friends.

உதவாத நண்பர்கள்

முயல் ஒன்று காட்டில் வாழ்ந்து வந்தது. அந்த முயலுக்கு பல நண்பர்கள் இருந்தார்கள். தன்னுடைய நண்பர்களை நினைத்து முயல் மிகவும் பெருமை அடைந்தது.

ஒரு நாள் காட்டு நாய்களின் உரத்த குரலின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு, முயல் மிகவும் பயந்து கொண்டது. எனவே முயல் அதனுடைய நண்பர்களிடம் உதவி கேட்க முடிவு செய்தது. உடனே தன்னுடைய நண்பன் மானிடம் சென்று "அன்பு நண்பனே, சில காட்டு நாய்கள் என்னை துரத்துகின்றன. உங்களுடைய கூர்மையான கொம்புகளை வைத்து அவற்றைத் துரத்த முடியுமா?" என்று கேட்டது.

"நீ சொல்வது சரி தான், என்னால் முடியும். ஆனால் இப்போது நான் கொஞ்சம் வேலையாக இருக்கிறேன். நீ ஏன் கரடியிடம் உதவி கேட்கக் கூடாது?" என்றது மான். முயல் கரடியிடம் ஓடிச்சென்று, "என் அருமை நண்பரே, நீங்கள் மிகவும் வலுவானவர். தயவுசெய்து எனக்கு உதவுங்கள். சில காட்டு நாய்கள் என்னை துரத்துகின்றன. தயவுசெய்து அவற்றைத் துரத்திவிடுங்கள்", என்று கரடியிடம் வேண்டிக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டது.

"என்னை மன்னித்து விடு, நான் மிகவும் பசியாகவும் களைப்பாகவும் இருக்கிறேன். தயவுசெய்து குரங்கிடம் உதவி கேள்", என்று கரடி பதிலளித்தது.

முயல் குரங்கு, யானை, ஆடு மற்றும் அவரது மற்ற நண்பர்களிடம் சென்றது. ஆனால் யாரும் அதற்கு உதவ தயாராக இல்லை என்பத நினைத்து வருந்தியது.

தன் உயிரை காப்பாற்றிக் கொள்ள ஒரு வழியை யோசிக்க வேண்டும் என்று அதற்கு புரிந்தது. ஒரு புதருக்கு அடியில் சென்று அமைதியாக படுத்துக் கொண்டது. காட்டு நாய்களால் முயலை கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியவில்லை. அதனால் மற்ற விலங்குகளை வேட்டையாட நாய்கள் சென்று விட்டன.

உதவாத நண்பர்களை சார்ந்திருக்காமல், நம்முடைய உயிரை காப்பாற்றிக் கொள்ள நாம் தான் கற்றுக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று முயலுக்கு புரிந்தது.

நீதி : மற்றவர்களை சார்ந்து இருப்பதை விட உங்களை நம்புவதே நல்லது.

The Peacock's Talent

A peacock lived in a forest. It is so proud of its beauty. One day a rabbit came to that forest and the peacock boasted about its beauty to the rabbit.

For that rabbit said, Friend! Humans should come to see your beautiful dance. But see that cuckoo. It fly everyday to the area, where humans reside and make them happy by its singing. Humans become happy by listening to its beautiful voice. Cuckoo is the wonderful creation of God.

On hearing this, peacock got furious and went to humans residing area. It started to sing like cuckoo. But due to its horrific sound, humans beaten the peacock. It was frightened and ran into the forest.

Moral: Don't Compare yourself with others.

மயில் செய்த காரியம்

காட்டில் ஒரு மயில் வசித்து வந்தது. அந்த மயிலுக்கு தன் அழகை எண்ணி அதிக பெருமை. ஒரு நாள் அந்த காட்டிற்கு முயல் ஒன்று வந்தது, அதனிடம் தன் தோகையை காட்டி பெருமைப்பட்டுக் கொண்டது மயில்.

அதற்கு முயலோ, நண்பனே! நீ உன் தோகை விரித்து ஆடுவதை பார்க்க மனிதர்கள் உன்னை தேடி வர வேண்டும். ஆனால் அந்த குயிலைப் பார். தினமும் பறந்து மனிதர்கள் இருக்கும் பகுதிக்கு செல்கிறது. அழகாக பாடி மனிதர்களை சந்தோசப்படுத்துகிறது. மனிதர்கள் அதனின் அழகிய குரலை கேட்டு மகிழ்கின்றனர். அந்த குயிலே இறைவனின் அற்புத படைப்பு என்றது.

இதை கேட்டு ஆத்திரமடைந்த மயில் மறுநாள் மனிதர்கள் வாழும் பகுதிக்கு சென்று பாடத் தொடங்கியது. அதனின் கொடூர சத்தம் பொறுக்க முடியாமல் மனிதர்கள் அந்த மயிலை அடித்து துறத்தினர். மயிலும் பயந்து காட்டுக்குள் ஓடிவிட்டது.

The Poor Man's Wealth

Ramchand and Premchand were neighbors. Ramchand was a poor farmer. Premchand was a rich person.

Ramchand used to be very happy. He never bothered to close the doors and windows of his house during night time. Although he had no money, he was peaceful.

Premchand used to be very tense always. He was very keen to close the doors and windows of his house at night. He could not sleep well. He was always bothered that someone might break open his safes and steal away his money. He envied the peaceful Ramchand.

One day, Premchand call Ramchand and gave him a boxful of cash and says, "Look my dear friend. I am blessed with plenty of wealth. I find you in poverty. So, take this cash and live in prosperity".

Ramchand was overwhelmingly happy. He was joyful throughout the day. Night came. Ramchand went to bed as usual. But, today, he could not sleep. He went and closed the doors and windows. He still could not sleep. He began to keep on looking at the box of cash. The whole night he was disturbed.

As soon as day broke, Ramchand took the box of cash to Premchand. He gave away the box to Premchand and saying, "Dear Friend, I am poor. But, your money took away peace from me. Please bear with me and take back your money".

Moral: Money cannot get everything. Learn to be satisfied with what you have and you will always be happy.

ஏழையின் செல்வம்

ராம்சந்தும் பிரேம்சந்தும் அண்டை வீட்டுக்காரர்கள். ராம்சந்த் ஒரு ஏழை விவசாயி, ஆனால் பிரேம்சந்தோ ஒரு பணக்காரர்.

ராம்சந்த் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருந்தார். இரவு நேரங்களில் அவருடைய வீட்டின் கதவுகளையும் ஜன்னல்களையும் கூட மூடாமல் இரவில் தூங்குவார். பணம் இல்லை என்றாலும் அவர் நிம்மதியாக இருந்தார்.

ஆனால் பிரேம்சந்தோ எப்பொழுதும் பதட்டமாகவே இருப்பார். இரவில் அவருடைய வீட்டின் கதவுகளையும் ஜன்னல்களையும் மூடிக்கொண்டு இரவு முழுவதும் தூங்க முடியாமல் அவதிப்படுவார், யாராவது தன் வீட்டை உடைத்துக்கொண்டு, பணத்தை எல்லாம் கொள்ளையடித்து விடுவார்களோ என்று எப்பொழுதும் எண்ணிக்கொண்டே இருப்பார். அவரால் நிம்மதியாகவே இருக்க முடியவில்லை. அவர் நிம்மதியாக இருந்த ராம்சந்தின் மீது பொறாமைக் கொண்டார்.

ஒரு நாள், பிரேம்சந்த் ராம்சந்தை அழைத்து, அவரிடம் ஒரு பெட்டி முழுவதும் பணத்தை கொடுத்து, "என் அன்பு நண்பரே. நான் நிறைய செல்வத்துடன் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளேன். நீ வறுமையில் இருப்பது எனக்கு கஷ்டமாக இருக்கிறது. எனவே, இந்த பணத்தை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, செழிப்புடன் வாழ்" என்றார்.

ராம்சந்திற்கு மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சி, அவர் அந்த நாள் முழுவதும் மிகவும் சந்தோஷமாக இருந்தார். இரவு நேரம் வந்தது. ராம்சந்த் வழக்கம் போல் படுக்கைக்குச் சென்றார். ஆனால் அவரால் தூங்க முடியவில்லை. படுக்கையிலிருந்து எழுந்து கதவையும் ஜன்னல்களையும் மூடினார். ஆனாலும் அவரால் தூங்க முடியவில்லை. அவரது கவனம் அந்த பணப் பெட்டியின் மீதே இருந்தது, இரவு முழுவதும் அவரால் தூங்க முடியவில்லை.

அடுத்த நாள் காலையில் ராம்சந்த் பிரேம்சந்திடம் பணப் பெட்டியை எடுத்துச் சென்று, "அன்பு நண்பரே, நான் ஏழைதான். ஆனால், உங்களின் பணம் என்னிடம் இருந்த நிம்மதியை பறித்துவிட்டது. தயவு செய்து உங்கள் பணத்தை எடுத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்", என்றார்.

நீதி : பணத்தால் எல்லாவற்றையும் வாங்க முடியாது. உங்களிடம் இருப்பதை வைத்து திருப்தியுடன் இருக்க கற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள், எப்போதும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருப்பீர்கள்.

World is a Mirror

Once there was a museum in which there was a room which was made of mirrors. Its wall, roof and even floor was made of mirrors.

The guardian of the museum forgets to lock the rear door of the museum that leads to the glass room.

A dog was moving near that museum and by mistake entered that room. When dog was in middle of room and saw its own reflection and thought of it as that a whole pack of dogs were surrounding him from all sides.

Seeing this dog got scared and started to bark at reflections. Dog could see all the reflections barking at him in same way and because of mirror's dog echo back after hitting at mirrors and got magnified.

Next morning, when museum guard entered the hall, there he found lifeless body of dog. There was no one to harm that dog but yet it died fighting its own reflections.

Moral: Everything around us is reflection of our own thoughts, feelings and actions. World acts like a big mirror. So always try to be positive and good to others.

உலகம் ஒரு கண்ணாடி

முன்னொரு காலத்தில் அருங்காட்சியகம் ஒன்று இருந்தது, அதன் சுவர், கூரை மற்றும் தளம் முற்றிலும் கண்ணாடியால் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது.

அந்த அருங்காட்சியகத்தின் காவற் பொறுப்பாளர் ஒரு நாள் கண்ணாடி அறைக்கு வழிவகுக்கும் அருங்காட்சியகத்தின் பின்புற கதவை பூட்ட மறந்துவிட்டார்.

அந்த அருங்காட்சியகத்திற்குள் நாய் ஒன்று தவறுதலாக அந்த கண்ணாடி அறைக்குள் நுழைந்தது. நாய் கண்ணாடி அறையில் நடுவே நின்று கண்ணாடியை பார்த்தது, அதன் பிரதிபலிப்பைக் கண்டதும், நிறைய நாய்கள் தன்னை சுற்றியிருப்பதாக நினைத்துக் கொண்டது.

பிரதிபலிப்புகளை பார்த்த நாய் பயந்துக் கொண்டு குரைக்க ஆரம்பித்தது. சத்தம் கண்ணாடிகளில் எதிரொலித்தது, நாயின் பிரதிபலிப்புகள் அனைத்தும் தன்னை பார்த்து தான் குரைக்கிறது என்று பயந்துக் கொண்டது.

அடுத்த நாள் காலை, காவலாளி அருங்காட்சியத்தில் நுழைந்தபோது, அங்கே இறந்து கிடந்த நாயின் சடலத்தை கண்டார். அந்த நாயை அங்கு யாரும் அடித்தமாரு தெரியவில்லை, தன்னுடைய சொந்த பிரதிபலிப்பை பார்த்து பயந்து தான் இறந்திருக்கக் கூடும் என்று அவர் எண்ணினார்.

தி : நம்மை சுற்றி இருக்கும் அனைத்துமே நம்முடைய சொந்த எண்ணங்கள், உணர்வுகள் மற்றும் செயல்களின் பிரதிபலிப்பு தான். உலகம் ஒரு பெரிய கண்ணாடி போல் செயல்படுகிறது. எனவே எப்போதும் நேர்மறையாகவும் மற்றவர்களுக்கு நல்லவர்களாகவும் இருக்க முயற்சி செய்யுங்கள்.

The Way to Victory

One day, some youths went to a jungle to practice shooting. They kept few pots at a distance and targeted them. None of them could hit even a single pot.

A man who was watching them started laughing. One of them went to him and asked, Why are you laughing? Do you know how to shoot?

At this, the man took the gun and fired at the pots and shooted all of them one by one. The youths were amazed to see this and asked the man if he was a magician.

The man replied, I am neither a magician nor a sharpshooter. I just concentrated and the result is in front of you. When one can do their work with concentration, they will surely succeed in it. The youths thanked him for the piece of advice.

Moral: Success is sure, if we do a work with Concentration.

வெற்றிக்கான வழி

இளைஞர்கள் ஒருமுறை துப்பாக்கிச் சுடும் பயிற்சிக்காக காட்டுக்குச் சென்றனர். அவர்கள் தூரத்தில் சில பானைகளை வைத்து அதனை சுடுவதற்காக குறி பார்த்தனர். ஆனால், அவர்களில் எவராலும் ஒரு பானையைக் கூடச் சுட முடியவில்லை.

அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்ததைப் பார்த்த ஒரு மனிதர் சிரிக்க ஆரம்பித்தார். இளைஞர்களில் ஒருவன் அவரிடம் சென்று, "ஏன் சிரிக்கிறீர்கள்? உங்களுக்கு எப்படி சுடுவதென்று தெரியுமா?" என்றான்.

அதற்கு அந்த மனிதர் துப்பாக்கியை எடுத்து பானைகளை ஒவ்வொன்றாக குறி பார்த்து அனைத்தையும் சுட்டார். இளைஞர்கள் அதைக் கண்டு வியப்படைந்து, நீங்கள் ஒரு மந்திரவாதியா என்று கேட்டனர்.

அதற்கு அவர், நான் மந்திரவாதியும் இல்லை, துப்பாக்கிச்சுட தெரிந்தவனும் இல்லை. நான் கவனத்துடன் ஒரு செயலை செய்தேன், அதனுடைய விளைவை நீங்களே பார்த்தீர்கள் அல்லவா! ஒருவர் கவனத்துடன் தங்களது வேலையைச் செய்யும்போது, அவர்கள் அதில் நிச்சயமாக வெற்றி பெறுவார்கள் என்று கூறினார். இளைஞர்களும் அவரின் அறிவுரைக்கு நன்றி கூறினர்.

The Elephant and The Tailor

There lived an elephant in a village. While going to river to take a bath regularly, it passed a tailor's shop. Tailor always gave it something to eat. They became friends.

As usual, one day it put its trunk inside the shop. The tailor was not in a good mood as he had a quarrel with a customer.

The tailor instead of giving it something to eat, pricked a needle into its trunk. The elephant silently went away.

The elephant reached the river and took its bath. After that it filled muddy water in its trunk. On its way back, it stopped at the tailor's shop and threw all the muddy water on the clothes in the shop. All the clothes were spoiled. Tailor had to bear heavy loss.

Moral: As you sow, so you reap.

வினை விதைத்தவன் விதை அறுப்பான்

ஒரு கிராமத்தில் ஒரு யானை வாழ்ந்து வந்தது. அது குளிப்பதற்கு வழக்கமாக ஆற்றுக்கு செல்லும்போது, ஒரு தையல்காரர் கடையை கடந்து செல்லும். தையல்காரர் அதற்கு ஏதாவது சாப்பிட கொடுப்பார். இருவரும் நண்பர்களாக ஆனார்கள்.

ஒரு நாள் வழக்கம் போல் அது கடைக்குள் தனது தும்பிக்கையை வைத்தது. தையல்காரர் ஒரு வாடிக்கையாளருடன் சண்டையிட்டதால் நல்ல மனநிலையில் இல்லை.

தையல்காரர் அதற்கு எதுவும் சாப்பிடுவதற்கு தராமல் அதன் தும்பிக்கையில் குண்டூசியை வைத்து குத்தினார். யானை அமைதியாக சென்று விட்டது.

யானை ஆற்றுக்கு சென்று குளித்தது. பின்னர் அது தனது தும்பிக்கையில் சேற்று நீரை நிரப்பியது. அது திரும்பி செல்லும் வழியில் தையல்காரரின் கடையில் நின்று, அனைத்து துணிகளின் மீதும் எல்லா சேற்று நீரையும் இறைத்தது. அனைத்து துணிகளும் நாசமாகின. தையல்காரர் கடும் இழப்பை ஏற்க வேண்டியிருந்தது.

நீதி : வினை விதைத்தவன் வினை அறுப்பான்.

Overcome Fear

A young man was walking in a jungle. He was hungry. On a tree, he saw fruits and climbed on the tree and plucked the fruits. Many fruits were present at the edge of the branches. When he moved to the edge of the branch, the branch was broken off due to his weight. He started hanging down on a branch. He was already frightened and began to shout again and again, to save him . Incidentally, an old man came to that place.

He saw the man hanging on the tree. He threw a small stone at him. The young man got pain after it and looked down with a rage. "Oldman! I asked help. But you hit me with stone. Don't you have sense?", he asked angrily. The old man without answering him took another small stone and threw on him. The young man got more angry and jumped down with great effort. He went straight to the old man and scolded him. The old man said, "Youngman, I only helped you". The young man stared at him without understanding anything.

The old man then says, "when I saw you first, you were in fear. You cannot think any other ways due to fear. When I threw stone at you, you began to think of scolding me. When you start thinking, you saved yourself and got down. When you start thinking about yourself, you have saved yourself and got down. You first did not think that you can able to save yourself. Your fear was hiding your eyes". By saying that, the old man went.

Moral: If we overcome fear, we can win anything.

பயம் கண்ணை மறைத்துவிடும்

ஒரு காட்டில் ஒரு இளைஞன் நடந்து போய்க் கொண்டிருந்தான். அவன் பசியுடன் இருந்தான். ஒரு மரத்தில் பழங்கள் இருப்பதைக் கண்டு, மரத்தின் மேல் ஏறி அவற்றில் சில பழங்களைப் பறித்துத் தின்றான். நிறைய கனிந்த பழங்கள் கிளைகளின் நுனியில் இருந்தன. அவற்றை எட்டிப் பறிக்கக் கிளையின் மேல் நகர்ந்து சென்ற போது, அவனது பாரம் தாங்காமல் ஒரு கிளை முறிந்து விட்டது. அவன் ஒரு கிளையைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டு தொங்க ஆரம்பித்தான். ஏற்கெனவே பயந்து போயிருந்த அவன் மேலும் பயந்து, யாராவது காப்பாற்றுங்கள் என்று திரும்பத் திரும்ப அலற ஆரம்பித்தான். தற்செயலாக அப்போது அந்த இடத்திற்கு ஒரு முதியவர் வந்தார்.

மரத்தில் தொங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தவனைப் பார்த்தார். அவன் மேல் ஒரு சிறிய கல்லை விட்டு எறிந்தார். கல் பட்டவுடன் வலியில் கீழே பார்த்தவனுக்கு ஆத்திரம் வந்தது. "பெரியவரே! உதவச் சொன்னால் கல்லால் அடிக்கிறீரே. அறிவில்லையா உமக்கு?", என்று கோபத்துடன் கேட்டான். பெரியவர் பதில் பேசாமல் மற்றொரு சிறிய கல்லை எடுத்து அவன் மேல் எறிந்தார். மேலும் கோபமுற்ற இளைஞன் பெருமுயற்சி செய்து கீழே இறங்கி வந்தான். அவன் நேராகப் பெரியவரிடம் சென்று அவரை திட்டினான். பெரியவர், "தம்பி, நான் உனக்கு உதவி தான் செய்தேன்", என்றார். இளைஞன் ஒன்றும் புரியாமல் விழித்தான்.

பெரியவர் அதற்கு, "நான் உன்னை முதலில் பார்த்த போது நீ பயந்து போயிருந்தாய். பயத்தினால் நீ எந்த வழியையும் யோசிக்கவில்லை. நான் கல்லை விட்டு எறிந்ததும் நீ என்னை எப்படித் திட்டுவது என்று யோசிக்க ஆரம்பித்தாய். யோசிக்க ஆரம்பித்தவுடன் நீயாகவே உன்னைக் காப்பாற்றிக் கொண்டு கீழே குதித்து விட்டாய். உன்னை உன்னாலேயே காப்பாற்றிக் கொள்ள முடியும் என்று உன் அறிவுக்கு முதலில் புலப்படவில்லை. உன் பயம் உன் கண்ணை மறைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது", என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு சென்றார்.

நீதி: நாம் பயத்தை வென்றால் எதையும் வெல்ல முடியும்.

The Lazy Boy

Kumar was a very lazy boy and always used to postponed his work. One day his father called him and advised him about the value of time, that one should always do things on time. Kumar promised his father that he would never postpone his work.

One day, he came to know that he had won the first prize in a essay competition that was held on the previous month. They told him to come and collect the prize on the same day.

He didn't care on that day and went to collect the prize the next day. But the prize became useless for him, as it was a ticket to a circus show, which was held on the previous day. Kumar regretted about his decision.

Moral: Time is Precious.

சோம்பேறி பையன்

குமார் என்பவன் ஒரு சோம்பேறிச் சிறுவன். அவன் எப்போதும் வேலை செய்வதை ஒத்திவைத்துக் கொண்டே இருப்பான். ஒரு நாள் அவனது தந்தை அவனை அழைத்து, நேரத்தின் மதிப்பு பற்றி அறிவுறுத்தி, எப்போதும் குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தில் வேலையை செய்ய வேண்டும் என்றார். குமார் தனது வேலையை ஒத்திவைக்க மாட்டேன் என்று தனது தந்தைக்கு உறுதியளித்தான்.

ஒரு நாள், முந்தைய மாதத்தில் நடைபெற்ற ஒரு கட்டுரை போட்டியில் அவன் முதல் பரிசு பெற்றது தெரிய வந்தது. அதே நாளில் பரிசுப் பொருளை வாங்க வரும்படி அவனிடம் சொன்னார்கள்.

அவன் அந்த நாளில் கவலைப்படாமல், அடுத்த நாள் பரிசை வாங்கச் சென்றான். ஆனால், அது முந்தைய நாள் நடைபெற்ற சர்க்கஸ் நிகழ்ச்சிக்கான ஒரு நுழைவுச் சீட்டாக (டிக்கெட்டாக) இருந்ததால், அந்த பரிசு அவனுக்கு பயனில்லாமல் போனது. குமார் தனது முடிவுக்கு வருந்தினான்.

A Dishonest Doctor

Once an old lady lost her eyesight and became blind. She called a doctor and agreed to pay him a very big amount if he cured her. But she will not give a single penny if she is not cured. Doctor daily came to her house for treatment.

He started stealing lady's furniture and other valuable things from the house. He took away everyday one thing from lady's house. So he delayed on curing the lady. He cured the lady after he had took all the furniture and valuable articles from the lady's house. Doctor demanded his fee from the lady. But she refused to pay the fees and said that she is not fully cured.

Doctor registered a case against her in the court. On being asked by the judge why she was not paying the fee, she told the court that her eye sight is not fully cured. She told that she could not see her furniture and other articles in the house. The judge was very clever. He understood the matter and punished the doctor.

Moral: Dishonesty never wins.

நேர்மையின்மை ஒருபோதும் வெல்லாது

ஒரு முறை வயதான பெண்மணி தனது கண்பார்வையை இழந்து குருடாகிவிட்டார். அவர் ஒரு மருத்துவரை அழைத்து, தன்னை குணப்படுத்தினால் அவருக்கு மிகப்பெரிய தொகையை வழங்குவதாக ஒப்புக்கொண்டார். ஆனால், தன்னை குணப்படுத்தாவிட்டால் ஒரு பைசா கூட கொடுக்க மாட்டேன் என்றார். டாக்டர் தினமும் சிகிச்சைக்காக அவரது வீட்டிற்கு வந்தார்.

நீதிமன்றத்தில் அவருக்கு எதிராக மருத்துவர் ஒரு வழக்கு பதிவு செய்தார். அவர் ஏன் கட்டணத்தை செலுத்தவில்லை என்று நீதிபதி கேட்டபோது, அவர் தன் கண் பார்வை முழுமையாக குணமடையவில்லை என்று நீதிமன்றத்தில் தெரிவித்தார். தன்னுடைய மரச்சாமான்கள் மற்றும் பிற பொருட்களை வீட்டில் பார்க்க முடியவில்லை என்று கூறினார். நீதிபதி மிகவும் புத்திசாலி. அவர் இந்த விஷயத்தை புரிந்து கொண்டு மருத்துவரை தண்டித்தார்.

நீதி : நேர்மையின்மையால் எப்போதும் வெற்றிபெற முடியாது.

Act Wisely

Three fish were very close friends in a village pond. One day, some fishermen passing through that pond saw plenty of fishes. One of the fisherman said, "hey look here, so many fishes in this pond! It is already evening now. We should come tomorrow morning and catch them all".

Hearing the fisherman, one of the three fishes, who was the wisest of them all called the other two fishes and said, "Did you hear what the fisherman said? We should leave this pond tonight itself, and move to a safe place quickly".

The second fish agreed to him and said, "I think we should not be here anymore". But the third fish started laughing for what both fishes said. It replied, "This is our home. We should not run away like this".

Unable to convince the third fish, the other two left the pond that night. The next day, the fishermen put a big net in that pond and caught a plenty of fishes. Third fish was one among them. If it had listened to other two fishes, it wouldn't have been caught like that.

Moral : Think and act wisely to avoid problem.

மூன்றாவது மீனுக்கு என்ன ஆச்சு?

ஒரு கிராமத்தில் உள்ள குளத்தில் மூன்று மீன்கள் மிகவும் நெருங்கிய நண்பர்களாக இருந்தன. ஒரு நாள், அந்த குளத்தின் வழியாக சென்ற சில மீனவர்கள், அங்கே நிறைய மீன்கள் இருப்பதை கண்டனர். அவர்களில் ஒரு மீனவர், "இங்கே பாருங்கள்! இந்த குளத்தில் நிறைய மீன்கள் உள்ளன! இப்போது மாலை நேரம் ஆகிவிட்டது. நாம் நாளை காலை வந்து அனைத்து மீன்களையும் பிடிக்க வேண்டும்" என்று சொன்னார்.

மீனவர் சொன்னதை கேட்ட, மூன்று மீன்களில் ஒரு புத்திசாலி மீன், மற்ற இரண்டு மீன்களையும் அழைத்து, "மீனவர் என்ன சொன்னார் என்பதை நீங்கள் கேட்டீர்களா? இன்றிரவு இந்த குளத்தில் இருந்து வெளியேறி, விரைவாக ஒரு பாதுகாப்பான இடத்திற்கு செல்ல வேண்டும்", என்று சொன்னது.

இரண்டாவது மீன் அதனை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, "நாம் இனி இங்கே இருக்க வேண்டாம்" என்று சொன்னது. ஆனால் மூன்றாவது மீன் மற்ற இரு மீன்களும் சொன்னதைக் கேட்டு சிரிக்க ஆரம்பித்தது. "இது தான் நம்முடைய வாழ்விடம், நாம் இங்கிருந்து வேறு எங்கும் ஓடக்கூடாது", என்றது.

மூன்றாவது மீனை சமாதானப்படுத்த முடியாமல், மற்ற இரு மீன்களும் அந்தக் குளத்தில் இருந்து அன்றிரவே வெளியேறின. அடுத்த நாள், மீனவர்கள் அந்த குளத்தில் ஒரு பெரிய வலையை விரித்து நிறைய மீன்களை பிடித்தனர். மூன்றாவது மீன் மற்ற மீன்கள் சொன்னதை கேட்டிருந்தால், அது அப்படி பிடிபட்டிருக்காது.

நீதி: சிந்தித்து, புத்திசாலித்தனமாக செயல்பட்டு பிரச்சனையைத் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும்.

Good Teachers Always Show Right Future

A 12-year-old boy learned to smoke cigarettes when he was studying in school. Somehow he finished schooling and joined college. There he learned gambling and many other bad habits. He required lot of money for those, so he started to lie and steal. Atlast, he became murderer.

Three Types of People

A teacher shows three toys to a student and asks the student to find out the differences. All the three toys are seemed to be identical in their shape, size. After keen observation, the student observes holes in the toys. The 1st toy has holes in the ears. The 2nd toy has holes in ear and mouth. The 3rd toy has only one hole in one ear.

Then the student puts the needle in the ear hole of the 1st toy. The needle comes out from the other ear. In the 2nd toy, when the needle was put in the ear, the needle came out of a mouth. And in the 3rd toy, when the needle was put in the toy, it did not come out. By this teacher decided to teach a concept to the students.

The Lion and the Mouse

Once when a lion, the king of the jungle was asleep, a little mouse began running up and down on him. This soon awakened the lion, who placed his huge paw on the mouse, and opened his big jaws to swallow him.

"Pardon, O King!" cried the little mouse. "Forgive me this time. I shall never repeat it and I shall never forget your kindness. And who knows, I may be able to do you a good turn one of these days!", the mouse said. The lion was so tickled by the idea of the mouse being able to help him that he lifted his paw and let him go.

Sometime later, a few hunters captured the lion, and tied him to a tree. After that they went in search of a wagon, to take him to the zoo.

Just then the little mouse happened to pass by. On seeing the lion's plight, he ran up to him and gnawed away the ropes that bound him, the king of the jungle. "Was I not right?" said the little mouse, The lion also agreed.

MORAL: Small acts of kindness will be rewarded greatly.

சிங்கமும் எலியும்

ஒரு முறை காட்டின் ராஜாவான சிங்கம் தூங்கி கொண்டிருந்தபோது, ஒரு சிறிய சுண்டெலி அதன் மேலும் கீழும் ஏறி விளையாட ஆரம்பித்தது. இது விரைவில் சிங்கத்தை எழுப்பியது, சிங்கம் தனது பெரிய பாதத்தை சுண்டெலியின் மீது வைத்து, அதனை விழுங்க தன் பெரிய வாயை திறந்தது.

சில நாட்கள் கழித்து, ஒரு சில வேட்டைக்காரர்கள் சிங்கத்தை பிடித்து, ஒரு மரத்தில் கட்டிவிட்டு, பிறகு அவர்கள் சிங்கத்தை மிருகக்காட்சிசாலைக்கு எடுத்துச் செல்ல வண்டியை தேடி சென்றனர்.

அப்போது அந்த வழியாக அந்த சுண்டெலி கடந்து சென்றபோது, சிங்கத்தின் துன்பத்தைக் கண்டு, அவரிடம் ஓடி, கட்டியிருந்த கயிறுகளை அவிழ்த்து விட்டது. சுண்டெலி சிங்கத்திடம் "நான் சொன்னது சரி அல்லவா என்றது?". சிங்கமும் அதை ஒப்புக் கொண்டது.

Whose fault?

A mouse and a frog were friends. Every morning the frog would hop out of his pond and go to visit his friend.

Mouse asked frog to teach swimming to it. Frog accept its request. One day the frog tied one end of a string around its own leg, tied the other end to the mouse leg.

Then the eagle which was flying over looked at them and came to attack them. Frog immediately fell into the water with the mouse to save its life. The mouse which drowned in water was dead. While its body was floating above, its legs were tied along with the frog.

At that time, the eagle saw the mouse floating on the water and came down to pick the mouse and flied over. Even the frogs tied together with the frog was also clutched by the eagle.

Moral: We should think their worth before we select someone as friend.

தவறு யாருடையது?

எலியும், தவளையும் நண்பர்களாக இருந்தனர். ஒவ்வொரு காலையிலும் தவளை தன் குளத்தில் இருந்து வெளியேறி தனது நண்பனை சந்திக்கச் செல்லும்.

எலி அதற்கும் நீச்சல் கற்றுக்கொடுக்க தவளையிடம் கேட்டது. தவளை அதன் வேண்டுகோளை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டது. ஒரு நாள், தவளை கயிற்றின் ஒரு முனையை தன் காலுடன் சேர்த்து கட்டிக்கொண்டு மற்றொரு முனையை எலியின் கால்களில் கட்டியது.

அப்போது மேலே பறந்து கொண்டிருந்த கழுகு ஒன்று, இவைகளைப் பார்த்து தாக்க வந்தது. உடனே தவளை தன் உயிரை காப்பாற்றிக்கொள்வதற்காக எலியுடன் தண்ணீரில் பாய்ந்தது. தண்ணீரில் மூழ்கிய எலி இறந்து போனது. அதன் உடல் மேலே மிதந்த போதும் அதனுடைய கால்கள் தவளையுடன் சேர்த்து கட்டப்பட்ட நிலையிலேயே இருந்தது.

அந்த சமயம் தண்ணீரின் மீது எலி மிதந்ததைக் கண்ட கழுகு கீழ் நோக்கி வந்து அந்த எலியைக் கொத்திக் கொண்டு உயரே பறந்தது. அதனுடன் சேர்ந்து கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த தவளையும் கழுகின் பிடியில் சிக்கியது.

நீதி: நாம் ஒருவரை நண்பராக ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கு முன் அதற்கு அவர்கள் தகுதியானவரா என்று யோசிக்கவேண்டும்.
