The Pigeons and the Hunter


Once upon a time, a hunter thought to catch birds. He lays a net and spreads rice all over it. After some time, a flock of pigeons comes by and start eating the rice and get caught in the net.

Pigeons tried to free themselves from the net. But, they could not do it. They started to lose hope. Just then their leader asks them to fly together up in the sky. Pigeons did as told and carry the net with themselves. The hunter ran after them but was not able to catch them.

The pigeons fly towards their friend mouse's hole. The mouse saw that and bite the net into pieces and freed the pigeons.

Moral : Unity is strength.





ஒற்றுமையே பலம்

ஒரு முறை வேட்டைகாரன் ஒருவன் பறவைகளை பிடிக்க எண்ணிணான். அவன் தன்னுடைய வலையைப் விரித்து, அதன்மீது அரிசியை பரப்பி வைத்தான். சிறிதுநேரத்தில் புறாக்களின் கூட்டம் அந்த வலையை நோக்கி பறந்து வந்தன. அவை அரிசியை சாப்பிட்டு, வலையிலும் சிக்கிவிட்டது.

புறாக்கள் வலையில் இருந்து தங்களை விடுவிக்க முயன்றன. ஆனால், அவைகளால் முடியவில்லை. அவைகள் நம்பிக்கையை இழக்க ஆரம்பித்தன. அப்போது புறா கூட்டத்தின் தலைமை புறா அவைகளை ஒன்றாக வானத்தில் பறக்கச் சொன்னது. புறாக்கள் சொன்னபடி செய்தன, தங்களுடன் வலையையும் கொண்டு சென்றன. வேட்டைக்காரன் அவைகள் பின்னால் ஓடினான், ஆனாலும் அவைகளை பிடிக்க முடியவில்லை.

புறாக்கள் தங்கள் நண்பனான எலியின் பொந்துக்குச் சென்றன. இதை பார்த்ததும் எலி, வலையை துண்டு துண்டாக கடித்து, புறாக்களை விடுவித்தது.
