The Peacock's Talent


A peacock lived in a forest. It is so proud of its beauty. One day a rabbit came to that forest and the peacock boasted about its beauty to the rabbit.

For that rabbit said, Friend! Humans should come to see your beautiful dance. But see that cuckoo. It fly everyday to the area, where humans reside and make them happy by its singing. Humans become happy by listening to its beautiful voice. Cuckoo is the wonderful creation of God.

On hearing this, peacock got furious and went to humans residing area. It started to sing like cuckoo. But due to its horrific sound, humans beaten the peacock. It was frightened and ran into the forest.

Moral: Don't Compare yourself with others.



மயில் செய்த காரியம்

காட்டில் ஒரு மயில் வசித்து வந்தது. அந்த மயிலுக்கு தன் அழகை எண்ணி அதிக பெருமை. ஒரு நாள் அந்த காட்டிற்கு முயல் ஒன்று வந்தது, அதனிடம் தன் தோகையை காட்டி பெருமைப்பட்டுக் கொண்டது மயில்.

அதற்கு முயலோ, நண்பனே! நீ உன் தோகை விரித்து ஆடுவதை பார்க்க மனிதர்கள் உன்னை தேடி வர வேண்டும். ஆனால் அந்த குயிலைப் பார். தினமும் பறந்து மனிதர்கள் இருக்கும் பகுதிக்கு செல்கிறது. அழகாக பாடி மனிதர்களை சந்தோசப்படுத்துகிறது. மனிதர்கள் அதனின் அழகிய குரலை கேட்டு மகிழ்கின்றனர். அந்த குயிலே இறைவனின் அற்புத படைப்பு என்றது.

இதை கேட்டு ஆத்திரமடைந்த மயில் மறுநாள் மனிதர்கள் வாழும் பகுதிக்கு சென்று பாடத் தொடங்கியது. அதனின் கொடூர சத்தம் பொறுக்க முடியாமல் மனிதர்கள் அந்த மயிலை அடித்து துறத்தினர். மயிலும் பயந்து காட்டுக்குள் ஓடிவிட்டது.
