Overcome Fear

A young man was walking in a jungle. He was hungry. On a tree, he saw fruits and climbed on the tree and plucked the fruits. Many fruits were present at the edge of the branches. When he moved to the edge of the branch, the branch was broken off due to his weight. He started hanging down on a branch. He was already frightened and began to shout again and again, to save him . Incidentally, an old man came to that place.

He saw the man hanging on the tree. He threw a small stone at him. The young man got pain after it and looked down with a rage. "Oldman! I asked help. But you hit me with stone. Don't you have sense?", he asked angrily. The old man without answering him took another small stone and threw on him. The young man got more angry and jumped down with great effort. He went straight to the old man and scolded him. The old man said, "Youngman, I only helped you". The young man stared at him without understanding anything.

The old man then says, "when I saw you first, you were in fear. You cannot think any other ways due to fear. When I threw stone at you, you began to think of scolding me. When you start thinking, you saved yourself and got down. When you start thinking about yourself, you have saved yourself and got down. You first did not think that you can able to save yourself. Your fear was hiding your eyes". By saying that, the old man went.

Moral: If we overcome fear, we can win anything.





பயம் கண்ணை மறைத்துவிடும்

ஒரு காட்டில் ஒரு இளைஞன் நடந்து போய்க் கொண்டிருந்தான். அவன் பசியுடன் இருந்தான். ஒரு மரத்தில் பழங்கள் இருப்பதைக் கண்டு, மரத்தின் மேல் ஏறி அவற்றில் சில பழங்களைப் பறித்துத் தின்றான். நிறைய கனிந்த பழங்கள் கிளைகளின் நுனியில் இருந்தன. அவற்றை எட்டிப் பறிக்கக் கிளையின் மேல் நகர்ந்து சென்ற போது, அவனது பாரம் தாங்காமல் ஒரு கிளை முறிந்து விட்டது. அவன் ஒரு கிளையைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டு தொங்க ஆரம்பித்தான். ஏற்கெனவே பயந்து போயிருந்த அவன் மேலும் பயந்து, யாராவது காப்பாற்றுங்கள் என்று திரும்பத் திரும்ப அலற ஆரம்பித்தான். தற்செயலாக அப்போது அந்த இடத்திற்கு ஒரு முதியவர் வந்தார்.

மரத்தில் தொங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தவனைப் பார்த்தார். அவன் மேல் ஒரு சிறிய கல்லை விட்டு எறிந்தார். கல் பட்டவுடன் வலியில் கீழே பார்த்தவனுக்கு ஆத்திரம் வந்தது. "பெரியவரே! உதவச் சொன்னால் கல்லால் அடிக்கிறீரே. அறிவில்லையா உமக்கு?", என்று கோபத்துடன் கேட்டான். பெரியவர் பதில் பேசாமல் மற்றொரு சிறிய கல்லை எடுத்து அவன் மேல் எறிந்தார். மேலும் கோபமுற்ற இளைஞன் பெருமுயற்சி செய்து கீழே இறங்கி வந்தான். அவன் நேராகப் பெரியவரிடம் சென்று அவரை திட்டினான். பெரியவர், "தம்பி, நான் உனக்கு உதவி தான் செய்தேன்", என்றார். இளைஞன் ஒன்றும் புரியாமல் விழித்தான்.

பெரியவர் அதற்கு, "நான் உன்னை முதலில் பார்த்த போது நீ பயந்து போயிருந்தாய். பயத்தினால் நீ எந்த வழியையும் யோசிக்கவில்லை. நான் கல்லை விட்டு எறிந்ததும் நீ என்னை எப்படித் திட்டுவது என்று யோசிக்க ஆரம்பித்தாய். யோசிக்க ஆரம்பித்தவுடன் நீயாகவே உன்னைக் காப்பாற்றிக் கொண்டு கீழே குதித்து விட்டாய். உன்னை உன்னாலேயே காப்பாற்றிக் கொள்ள முடியும் என்று உன் அறிவுக்கு முதலில் புலப்படவில்லை. உன் பயம் உன் கண்ணை மறைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது", என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு சென்றார்.
